The equipment used in all types of wastewater treatment packages includes several main parts including waste collector, aeration part, sludge hazard, sedimentation, disinfection, filtration, blower, and pH adjustment. All of the above can be changed at the suggestion of the employer because they are offered to the market as an option. Ancillary equipment also includes a metal body, a special electrical panel, monitoring (optional), and a chassis. Some of the most important parts of each purification package are given in general below, which you can learn about the different parts of purification packages by reading the following paragraphs.
Balance tank
Balancing tanks should be used if the effluent flow rate is very different or the composition, resistance, and temperature are different. The most important parameter in the design of wastewater treatment balancing tanks is the dimensions of the pond. The balancing tank in wastewater treatment may be built on-line or off-line. The mixing operation inside the balancing tank is important to maintain the composition of the wastewater and prevent the deposition of materials in it.
The performance of the balancing tank in wastewater treatment can be divided into two parts: flow balancing and component balancing. Flow balancing is related to changes in flow rates in processes and the conversion of cyclic currents to continuous and steady currents, and component balancing is related to the concentration of target pollutants in wastewater. Advantages of the balancing tank in wastewater treatment include facilitating biological treatment, stabilizing the load on solids, reducing the required level of effluent filtration, and modifying the mass load in chemical treatment.
Bioreactor Tank
Membrane bioreactors typically use the MF microfiltration or UF ultrafiltration method and combine them with a biological process such as suspended growth bioreactor. Membranes are used as a filter to remove solids produced in the biological process, resulting in a clear, pathogen-free product. Membrane bioreactors generally have three different structures, including flat sheets, hollow fibers, and multi-tubes. The most important advantages of wastewater treatment with membrane bioreactors can be to increase the quality of the treatment plant output and occupy little space, and the disadvantages of membrane bioreactors can be continuous monitoring of pH and temperature in order not to damage the membranes, and frequent and continuous cleaning of filters. cited.
Clarifier Tank
If the materials in the wastewater are more concentrated, clarifier materials must be used. Tanks containing clarifiers operate on the principle of gravity. Clarifiers consist of a large cylindrical tank with a smaller cylindrical tank. The first cylinder has a high-speed stirrer that adds coagulant chemicals to the incoming raw water. The water then enters the next cylindrical tank from the passage under the separating plate of the tanks and the water is stirred slowly by a slow stirrer. The clarifier enters the funnel by creating a clot at this stage and forming a clot. Clear water comes out of the top and the sediment is directed out of the bottom of the funnel.
Clarifiers can be divided into two general groups: circular and rectangular or square clarifiers. The clarifier system consists of clarification ponds in which raw water is mixed with a series of coagulant and flocculant chemicals. During this process, colloidal materials are deposited in water and then separated, during which the water is clarified. In addition to coagulants, the Clarifier requires special agitators to coagulate organic matter and settle it in the water floor to perform the mixing and coagulation process properly.
The mechanism of action of this device consists of three steps. The first step is by adding coagulant chemicals to the incoming water and mixing with a stirrer. The next step is to slowly stir the water and chemicals to form and absorb the clots to settle. And the last stage is the stage of staying and settling the clots formed in the previous stages and creating clear water at the outlet of the clarifier.
Chlorine Tank
Chlorine is used as a soluble compound, such as liquid sodium hypochlorite or solid calcium hypochlorite, in wastewater disinfection. Chlorine can be used as a gas, liquid or powder. In most projects, chlorine powder is used as calcium hypochlorite. Chlorine powder is dissolved in water in a certain proportion and chlorine solution is injected into the effluent stream.
The growth of bacteria, microorganisms and algae after water treatment in various ways leads to various diseases, including digestive problems. One of the best solutions to deal with this problem is to use a chlorination package, which is very effective in disinfecting water. Chlorine injectors can be divided into two groups: liquid chlorine and gas chlorine, each of which works quite differently, but often in industries and environments, liquid chlorine for reasons such as cheap price, ease of use, and Higher safety is used.
Blowers
Blowers are used for ventilation in activated sludge packages and strengthening the aerobic system. They perform proper purification by keeping solids suspended in canals and sand chambers. Aeration blowers are used in water and wastewater treatment to provide oxygen for biodegradation of activated sludge, increase its speed and efficiency.
